The old lawyer’s saying goes like this:

When you have the law on your side, pound the law.  When you have the facts on your side, pound the facts.  When you have neither the law nor the facts on your side, pound the table.

This may just be an evolutionist’s saying as well.  Since their theory of macro-evolution is touted as fact and yet they do not have one piece of evidential scientific proof to back up their claim, they usually just resort to ad hominem attacks.

To be honest, I am totally alright with being called a fool, moron, or not part of the  intellectual elite (1 Cor. 1:26-31) because the Biblical view of historical science has the law of conservation of matter, the law of conservation of energy, and the second law of thermodynamics on its side.  Those are three scientific laws instituted by God that are found within the Biblical view of Creation whereas these are absolute problems for the macro-evolutionist.

And yet that is not the evolutionist’s hidden concern of complication – their big problem comes in the form of that pesky information.

In just one of the trillions of cells that make up the human body, the amount of information in its genes would fill at least 1,000 books that contain 500 pages of typewritten information.  What is the explanation for this origin of information?  No rational person would say that 1,000 books of 500 pages a piece with information vital for human life and processes would just originate out of chance.  That is like saying a bomb hit a book factory and a library full of books was created with all them placed in correct order according to the Dewey Decimal System (do they still use that?).

Some will attempt to explain the creation of this information according to macro-evolution with this analogy.  All the letters of the alphabet, A-Z, are placed in a basket.  Letters are randomly picked one by one and placed next to each other.  Let us suppose that by chance three letters are picked and placed next to each other that spell the word C-A-T.

“See,” says the evolutionist, “given enough time, information can be compiled out of chance.  No intelligence is necessary, just time and random combinations can bring about information.”

Sounds great but there is one huge flaw in this thinking.

C-A-T is a word to whom?

What if there were people who only knew Spanish in this scenario?  French?  Swahili?  Portuguese?

C-A-T is only a word with meaning, only a word with information, if there is a language system and a translation system in place.

In the DNA of a cell, the order of its molecules are meaningless except that in the biochemistry of the cell, there is an inherent, built-in language system that makes the order of the information meaningful.  Without an intelligence Creator that put in place the language system and biochemistry and in the information within that system, DNA would be useless.

The information and ultimately the Creation screams that there is a Creator and God created His Creation originally good with intelligence and purpose.  His Creation disobeyed, denied His name, and transgressed His law. But God before the Creation of the world, set about a saving plan. Out of His love and mercy and kindness, He sent Jesus Christ, His Son, God incarnate, to come to earth and live a perfect, sinless life and take the penalty for the sin that you and I deserve. He paid the price for our iniquity. He took God’s wrath so we wouldn’t have to. And if we repent and put our trust and faith in the one who saves, Jesus Christ, he will give us a new heart with new desires to glorify Him alone.

Then the information goes from being a pesky problem to His miraculous handiwork that calls to His glory.
